Citrix ICA Client for Windows Quick Install:

1.) VTH-CRG install files

http://www.vth.colostate.edu/vth_applications.cfm

  • select: “Win-98, Win-2000, Win-XP”
  • Open the Extract  (extracts in c:\temp\vthcitrix folder, can be deleted after install)
  • Click “Yes” to run install.cmd” (runs a silent install MSI)
  • Click OK “Citrix ICA Client Setup competed successfully”

 

2.) Test using Internet Explorer

http://www.vth.colostate.edu/vth_applications.cfm

  • Select “VTH Desktop” (will flash initializing and connecting…”)
    • This is a .ica file preconfigured with the options needed to connect to the VTH ICA server farm.
  • Will present the following login window, (the Domain should be DOVER-1, someday it may be COLOSTATE)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


  • If the login window is presented, this install is completed.

 

Common Problems:

  • The Explorer File Type for .ICA is not linked to

C:\Program Files\Citrix\wfica32.exe (fix in Explorer, “Tools, “Folder Options, “File Types-TAB)”)

  • Does not seem to work with Netscape Browser.
  • User cant login, they will need to contact the VTH-CRG Helpdesk 297-4551
